SHERIFF GRAVES DEFINES AND CLARIFIES THE FUNDRAISING EFFORT OF THE WALWORTH COUNTY DEPUTY SHERIFF'S ASSOCIATION
The members of the Walworth County Deputy Sheriff's Association announce that they
have begun their second "scholarship/drug awareness campaign" throughout Walworth
County. The Walworth County Deputy Sheriff's Association is an organized labor group
of deputy sheriffs that is also involved and committed to financially supporting worthy
causes in Walworth County. The purpose of the campaign is to primarily raise money to
fund the Deputy Sheriff's Association scholarship program. This program was established
three years ago and is available to any graduating high school senior who is pursuing their
education in either a two or four year accredited school.
In order to assist the Deputy Sheriff's Association with the raising
of funds, the have hired Professional Marketing Incorporated of
Westchester, Illinois. The fund raising campaign is two fold. The
first phase consists of calling for support in creating an advertising
book, which promotes our local businesses, the Walworth County Deputy
Sheriff's and drug awareness. The second phase entails calling local
residents and asking for their individual support. All who contribute
receive tickets to a sports legend celebrity basketball game, which
will be held in the late fall at the local high school, yet to be
determined.
The Walworth County Sheriff's Department and the Walworth County Deputy Sheriff's
Association would like it made known that this fund raising campaign is not a part of the
Walworth County Sheriff's Department office. This is a Walworth County Deputy Sheriff's
Association program and not linked to the office of the Sheriff. All requests for donations
are made by Professional Marketing Incorporated, who oversee the completion of the advertising
book and the celebrity basketball game.
Any questions concerning the fundraising should be directed to Walworth County Deputy
Sheriff's Association President Deputy Robert Wierenga at 262-728-2233.
